For sellers

List less. Sell better.

A short, honest process built for people who have better things to do than answer forty Marketplace messages.

The process

Request an invite.

Keepstead is invite-only while we're small. Tell us your town and roughly what you're moving — a full house, a few rooms, a single great piece. We read every request.

A real conversation about what you have.

No app-only intake. Once you're in, we talk through what you're selling — over text, email, or a quick call, whatever's easiest. This is where we help you figure out what's worth listing here versus donating, consigning locally, or selling elsewhere.

Photograph it simply — we'll tell you exactly how.

You don't need a professional shoot. Natural light, the piece in its real room, one detail shot, one honest photo of any flaw if there is one. We'll walk you through it, and our curators check every submission before it goes live.

We curate before it lists.

This is the part that makes Keepstead different from an open marketplace: nothing goes live without a founder-vetted look first. That's slower than posting instantly — it's also why buyers trust what they find here.

It sells, you get paid.

Buyers purchase in-app. No chasing payment, no bounced Venmo requests, no “still available?” texts from people who never show up. When it sells, you're paid reliably.

Local pickup, on your terms.

You and the buyer arrange a pickup window that works for both of you — no strangers wandering your house, no scheduling around a stranger's whims.

No surprises

The fee, plainly

You keep 85%. Keepstead takes a 15% fee on the sale price — that's it. No listing fees, no photography fees, no "featured placement" upsells. If it doesn't sell, you owe nothing.

Founding Circle members get a reduced rate on their first sale. Details in your invite.

Fit

What sells well here

Good furniture, quality textiles and rugs, well-made décor, art, mirrors, lighting, and the kind of estate-contents pieces that get overlooked in a fast garage-sale weekend but deserve a buyer who'll actually appreciate them. If you're not sure something fits, ask — that's what the intake conversation is for.

Partners, not competitors

A note on working estate-sale companies

If you're already working with a local estate-sale company for a full-house sale, Keepstead isn't a replacement — think of us as a second channel for the pieces that deserve individual attention online. We partner with estate professionals rather than compete with them.

Our estate-partner page is in the works. In the meantime, tell us about your practice and we'll follow up personally.
